with a heavy heart Ive decided to trade in my excellent workhorse. Its been excellent for 5 yrs at 36k per year but with the next mot looming and looking expensive and unsure as to how much life I had in my clutch I have traded it in for the same spec tdise on a 54 plate with a mere 24k on the clock.Hopefully this will behave as well as the last one.

Well done that car! And well done you, g maddox.

Mind you, weren't you tempted to have a change for a different car - after spending 4500+ hours in an A2?

Yes it was the t dice 75 horse. Was very good car & it probably works out to be more than 4500 hours after sleeping overnight in it 8 or 9 times. It just seems so good, reliable & economical & pays for itself on a car mileage scheme.

I wouldn't envy anybody having to do 36k a year in an A2 and having the odd sleepover, but it goes to show how versatile these vehicles are (economically aswell). Well done the A2.

On the other side, when doing so much travelling didn't you feel fatigued / tired upon arrival? I find driving the A2 some 300 miles compared to driving the S320 CDi alot different when you get out the other side, but doing 3k miles a week

No I didnt feel too fatigued but there is the fact that after 22 yrs marriage you do build up a certain amount of resilience in the face of advercity
