2001 1.4SE Petrol, dipstick tube removal?

Anyone know how? Trying to extract broken dipstick end as is blocking the tube and can't read oil level. Easier to remove the whole tube? A new tube is £107 from Slough Audi! The mythical £6 is now £20!!!! Jesus these parts are stupid priced. :(. Thanks for taking the time to help. :)

I sorted this today. Also ordered a new metal dipstick @ £24.
to clear the dipstick tube....

remove undertray
remove the dipstick tube and oil filler from the front panel (they use a squeeze and release connection)
when they are free from the front panel....
from underneath, remove the oil filler clip-together heatshield cloth
use an allen key to remove the single bolt holding the filler assy to the block
wiggle/jimmy it out.
poke a wire or coat-hanger down it to clear it.
reassemble.

Well, the plot thickens....It appears that the earlier (than mine) chassis used the mythical £6 dipstick (8Z0115611G).
It requires a different funnel AND the ball on the dipstick is in a different place to the revised version (as fitted to minewhich is £24 and fibreglass (8Z0115611R)).

Crucially, both 8Z0115611G and 8Z0115611R are the same length, but the moulded balls are in different places.

As an experiment.....
I've ordered a metal dipstick and early funnel.
My plan is to remove my funnel, fit the early one and cut the ball off the metal dipstick and use the early setup.
I have to cut the ball off because it wont go all the way down the diptube, as the early one use a different diptube (£164!!!).

Well, for those who are interested, the old spec funnel turned up today and is a different design but exactly the same length as the newer spec one ( just look different in the pic), so there's no reason why you cant use the metal dipstick (minus plastic ball), combined with old funnel in your new spec car to replace the fibreglass dipstick.
I've taken loads of pics and will get around to posing them.
Will update when the dipstick finally turns up.
.....just bought an oil filter and already have some Vauxhall Fully Synth Longlife oil, so that's a weekend job..........

Quick question on the 2 versions.

I just bought a dipstick from Audi yesterday. My broken one is like your yellow one in the pics, and the only one they could get is like the orange one in your pics - the one with the V shaped wedge (8Z0-115-611-R) that slots into a V-shaped cutout in the top of the dipstick tube.
That V wedge means that the top end of the dipstick won't go all the way into the old tube on my car

Looking at your pics, it looks as if I just need to order the funnel with the V- shaped cut-out - would you say my assumption is correct?
