2002 1.4 petrol - New purchase

Hi all, picked up this A2 for my wife this week. 160k km and a few things wrong it. But I must say its been a lot of fun driving it the last couple of days, maybe Ill just use it

-Second part of the glass sunroof doesn't open (Not urgent, winter is here!)
-No hot air blowers
-ABS light on intermittently
-Rough idle once after warm restart that through this up on VCDS

-Driver door has clicking check strap
-Brakes and shocks need replacing (Very Rusty Drums at the rear, and spongey feel - absorbers are 20 years old and very rusty also. Drive doesnt feel right)
-Missing the petrol cap open button (Youtube to the rescue sat on the forecourt with fuel light on)

I started early this am, with thanks to using this forum til late last night and removed the blower fan, which was indeed stuck. Freed it up which fixed it, but Ill replace the unit it before putting the dash back in as its seen better days and some of the wiring had been chafed.

First VCDS scan, before releasing the fan and observing the rough idle listed below, thankfully there is a lot of info on here, a lot more than for other cars I have owned.

Most worrying is the G201 ABS sensor if it is indeed a few unit thats required. But Ill run through the advice iv found on here and see how it goes.

You seem quite knowledgeable and skilled - not many will feel confident in taking out the dash - so hopefully these issues will be fixed soon and you can enjoy these fun cars (and maybe your wife as well!). Looks like Crystal Blue, same as my A2. Are those wheels common in Sweden?

I see you come from Uppsala. I've been there a number of times (my wife comes from nearby). It's a nice town.

Yes Uppsala is not too bad, small but has most things. Im actually British and moved to Sweden for work several years ago so miss most things back home - but its not bad here. Managed to get a place in a VAG group enthusiast garage which has been great - but personally I am very amateur - my neighbouring bays wouldn't think twice of fabricating this and that - Im the only one with VCDS though Issue is at this time of the year its too cold to work outside!

Not sure on the wheels, I very rarely see A2s, but noticed a few in the group from Sweden and will no doubt keep my eyes open. Thanks to very open data laws here, you can exactly how many A2s are registered and what engines etc. Sale price and valuation - Good to know when you think about visiting a scrappy!
