My 3 years is up in March,, that was quick,, but beofre it slips by, anything that I ought to be thinking about before Audi wash their hands clean..

I had nothing mechanical to worry about and nothing electrical but any tips or experiences you have to share would be appreciated..

Hi
We have discussed this on the forum recently and my original suggestion was to ask for a full diagnostic check. This may highlight faults with the climate control etc which could be expensive to fix out of warranty. This had worked for some members but others reported their dealer refused to do the check. If they refuse to do it free of charge, it may be worth paying, just for the peace of mind.
Something you could do yourself is check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir. Remove the bonnet and look under the passenger side headlight. The reservoir has max and min level marks which are just visible. Although not the official method of checking, it is a good indication and a low level could mean leaking rack seals etc which are expensive to fix.
Start now so that any work required is completed well before the warranty expires

Cheers Spike

3 months of warranty left

When requested, just before expiry of warranty, my dealer refused to do a "pre end of warranty check" on the grounds that I was just trying to get any necessary work done for free!!. Beat that!!

well I dont think thats beatable. mind you its a good idea never thought of that one. If they did a check bet they report all ok anyway. Are you thinking of renewing the warranty and if you do will the dealer want to check the car over before selling you one

I do have a geniune reason that I have deliberately left till now that will need attention. The valve on the turbo boost keeps sticking but it is not a major niggle.

I will use that to ask very strongly for a full check. Reading Audi already have me clocked as a very polite but extremely assertive customer.
