Was it you?!

Snapped this small collection of A2s lined up outside of A2 Cars up in Milton Keynes today. Just for the record, there were two more in the actual workshop! There are two of Mike's A2s here I think and mine is there as well. To say Tony lives and breathes the A2 is something short of an understatement. I even got to drive Humpy :) 20141116_145052.jpg

RY51 VLG is my old car that I had a bump in and sold to Tony as a courtesy car. I only had it for a few weeks before the bump but i'm glad to see that its gone to a good home.

I'm driving it at the moment! It's noticeably smoother than my car at lower RPM and the turbo seems to spool up more quickly too. Interesting comparison, makes me wonder what nasties are lurking in my engine at the moment...

Glad to hear its on the road now :)

Milton Keynes. My car is there for a few bits of TLC, and with Tony's attention to detail I'm fully confident of a happy outcome :)

I have to say, driving Humpy was a real pleasure. Spec-wise it's way above OEM+ with things like the flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel and a reversing camera, but the thing I noticed most was how much extra va-va-voom the car has compared to mine - the custom exhaust that Tony had fitted really lets the engine breathe better across all RPMs. Makes a lovely burble too! A great example of a modernised A2.

Yes , I used this car too and commented to a2cars what a sweet little engine it had for 150+ k miles on it, and the turbo whistle was very noticeable, needs to loose the air fresheners :D

I wonder how many cars he'll have there when I drop Jules off for a service on the 18th Jan?

I'll take a snap.

My car is having a nice long relaxing holiday/spa break at A2 Cars, is being well and truly pampered. Some interesting bits of physiotherapy have been required, not least some stretching exercises to free up the sticky wastegate actuator, and some careful surgical corrections have been made to the EGR assembly and the rocker cover to stem some nasty weeping sores (oil leaks!). An infected coolant pipe has also been treated with surgery - the inflammation was so severe it had to be cut out and replaced. That's what happens when you don't clean up after a spillage...

I've also had some cosmetic surgery done. The DIS has had a facelift - my original screen was tired, faded, jaded even. With some microsurgery, it is now bright and energetic - it looks 10 Years Younger. A new pair of shoes completes the makeover - well in fact more like a pedicure - new drums at the rear.

There is more, but I'm stretching the metaphor too far!

I assume there is nothing wrong with the "body", the wiper "arm", The coolant "elbow", steering "knuckle" or the suspension "legs"?

My car is patiently waiting it's turn at its favourite holiday spot for a bit of pampering whilst I am out of the country. So if you could hurry along and finish your spar treatments that would be grand.

Hope you enjoy the results of all the pampering, I known Im looking forward to the benefits from my cars treatments

P.s. After responding to this I can't help thinking that maybe A2 owners are all a little be strange....

I have seen the kind of people that are classed as NOT strange and I am glad I am not one of them.
Just like our A2s it is sometimes nice to be a little quirky.
