Apologies if this post is inappropriate or in the wrong location , due to restrictions unable to post anywhere else

to cut a long story short , I gave my father my Audi A2 a two years ago as he need a little run around as my family outgrew it.

sadly he suddenly passed unexpectedly away a few weeks ago and I’m wondering if any genuine A2 enthusiast in the north east would like it - with a view to running and not dismantling to profit.

it’s a 54 plate grey tdi special edition ,with 102k on clock , 2 owners from new ,engine, electrics and bodywork in good condition , a rear drum has seized due to not being used and it has a left front slow puncture , apart from that no issues

I will be at my late fathers house this week and will take some photos if it’s ok for me to allow someone to have it

it’s current sorned and will require a mot and taxed

car is currently in wallsend , Tyne & wear NE28
thanks
Steven

On behalf of A2OC, our condolences on your loss Steven, and if this A2 really is being given away as it appears, then thank you very much for your generosity towards our enthusiast community.

Anything offered for sale would normally go in the Market section, including items being offered for free. We could move the thread there, but in these circumstances it would be wrong to effectively enforce an account upgrade (assuming not already done) to be able to respond to further replies. So I'm going to suggest we leave it where it is.

If this A2 does end up with A2Steve, as well as an ethical breaker he is a true A2 enthusiast, who happens to be without an A2 for regular use at the moment. If this one is not beyond economical repair - and from the description it sounds to be far from that - then you can be sure that in his hands it will not be broken.

Thanks I really appreciate allowing me to pass onto the community, I purchased this car from a main dealer and became its second owner , I believe it has plenty life left in it , unfortunately I’m unable to keep it , I will upload some photos tomorrow

Very sorry for your loss. What a lovely gesture and a fine sounding example being maintained within the enthusiast fold.

Yes definitely, an unbelievably kind gesture (I’m still in disbelief) but it’s going to be put to good use. I’ve got a good list of parts here for it:

17 inch TT wheels
Fabia VRS 288mm brake setup
H&R front anti roll bar
Whiteline rear anti roll bar
Some nearly new shocks

And potentially a hybrid turbo if I talk nicely to @Hef

Should hopefully have it all done in time for some socials this year.

Your more than welcome to it once it's off the car. I'm pretty sure there will be some wood accessories hanging around that will need a new home too 😉

Now on its way to its new owner - looking forward to seeing the updates on here , I’m sure it’s going to be back at its best if not better and my late father would’ve been glad to know it will be on the road again

Thank you so much Steve. It will be sporting some new items and a good few coats of wax and taking part in some A2OC socials this year I’m sure.
