I personally feel this is a lost opportunity to share such a rare find with an enthusiast following and wider audience. Such a treasure deserves such love and care but would equally be pride of place at a classic car show or country fayre such as Kimbolton.

Owners prerogative at the end of the day.

I’m thinking more on the lines of a members only mini meet, not a formal car show. Dave won’t be going to any of those, too many greasy fingers!

I could probably supply a marquee we could put in the middle of the plot ...

I used to sell cars to a guy back in the day when I worked for Ford, he had an old hanger, he bought one of the last escort rs cosworth lux new of me. In his hanger he had loads of mint old Fords including an escort Mexico, rs2000, rs200, Sierra rs 3dr, sapphire cosworth and lotus cortina. All were under 1k miles, god knows what that lot are worth now!!!
7 figures if they're still like new ???

I’m sworn to secrecy until it gets there at the request of the vendors wife, son and the dealership. It was the dealership who supplied the car when it was ordered. It’s in the northern part of the country, however.

This is a rather special little Audi A2 not a diamond encrusted Koenigsegg. (probably spelled that wrong).
Don't get the cloak and dagger at all however it sure keeps the suspense up for those of us hanging in there. PS ref your worries about greasy fingers at car shows - a bottle of quick detail spray and a microfibre cloth and you're sorted. I'll volunteer to be your personal valet for the day and dish out the cotton gloves. ?????

Northern you say, hope its near Wakefield lol!

At the moment I am dealing with the sudden unexpected death of my partner, Katie, and the well-being of her nine year old daughter, including starting the long process to legally adopt her.
My attention is firmly focused on this, not a car.
The car is 250 miles away in one of my holiday property garages, I’ve only seen it myself for a couple of minutes and I haven’t even driven it yet.
When (if?) my life gets back to normal then it’ll appear.

I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. Truly.

Please forgive me if I have added in any way to your current stresses.
