A2 Cars Introduction

Just had the Cruise Control fitted by Tony today. Drove most of the way home 'on cruise' A1 perfect  (or should I say A2 perfect)

Tony is one of the good guys (I'm sure there are many on this forum) and his new set up is just as you would hope from a specialist in the art.

Tony cast a critical, experienced eye over my car, as well as performing a diagnostic check and all seems pretty good. I will be back with A2Cars for new discs/pads and an MOT in August.

Tony deserves to do well in his business and with support of the forum members he will help keep more A2s not only in the road but it top running order for years to come.

Thanks Tony and keep up the good work.

Geoff

I have booked in for cruise today to make the best of this great offer. Have booked a few other jobs in at the same time to make it worth the 400 mile round trip

I've just had a really informative, enjoyable chat with Tony from A2 cars. Booked myself straight in for as soon as I could. I cannot speak highly enough of Tony's knowledge and enthusiasm for the car and his excellent customer service skills, very reassuring indeed!
he basically diagnosed 2 faults over the phone which has had 3 successive 'local' garages totally baffled. Book your holidays Tony, you're going to be seeing a lot of my car in the coming months.

Had cruise fitted by Tony yesterday and a few other quick jobs. Enjoying the new experience of cruise and as per usual a faultless and informative service.

Whilst getting my cruise control fitted by Tony and Jeff, I noticed a box full of car cleaning products, was wondering if they offered a valeting service in time for AITP :)

Hi Tony, just a quick thanks for Friday. Cruise worked a treat on the way home, unfortunately it couldn't clear the roads for me, so am in wife's bad books for getting back late. Still, won't stop me coming back for more! Please let me have a quote on the suspension overhaul you suggested and I'll arrange another trip up to you in sept/oct. Will probably want to include a full service too.
For anyone else reading this, Can't recommend A2cars enough! Already have absolute faith in Tony to help me revive my A2 and keep us in good running order. Definitely worth the trip from Bristol.

Quick thanks to Tony for his work on making a cruise loom for my 1.2Tdi.
It worked perfectly and with the help of a company offering GRA activations it should be possible for Tony to fit this mod to any 1.2Tdi.
Thanks for the quick preparation of parts and the excellent service throughout my project!

If anyone needs an ECU modded in a 1.2 it should prove quite easy to do by post!

Another fantastic day for me at A2carsltd. Just had a rear suspension upgrade this time, front to be done soon.
I can only re indorse everyone else's comments on the quality and attention to detail Tony provides. Despite a 400 mile round trip it's always a great day for me as i can overdose on A2 and enjoy the banter.

Just wanted to leave my feedback and thanks after I recently took my A2 1.4 to Tony and his team to install a wiring loom for the electric lumber support and to repair a broken rear electric window mechanism.

I found Tony's knowledge and attention to detail to be second-to-none and the best I have experienced in a very long time. I wish I knew about A2 cars sooner as I would have had my cars there plenty of times already.

I cannot recommend Tony and his team enough, if you find yourself thinking about A2 Cars vs. your local mechanic make the effort to drive to Milton Keynes because you will not be disappointed!

Thanks Tony & team, I will see you again in the near future :)

PS: It's a shame you don't specialize in Mercedes-Benz cars too!

Hi People,

I am proud to say that I have my A2 booked in for its first MOT under my ownership at A2cars on the 05/11/2016. I spoke with Tony what a really lovely person who welcomed me like I was family. His advice on retrofitting the Rare SideGuard curtain airbags has been second to none and I am now just really looking forward to meeting everyone at A2cars. I would 100% recommend a2cars already.

Excellent experience so far looking forward to the 5th.

Cheers

Joe

Fantastic service from Tony and his team sorting out my misfire issue. Despite it taking longer than hoped for due to an un-diagnosed faulty fuel pump in addition to the original fault causing much head scratching for Tony, final bill was no more than the original estimate - fanatic work guys

A2 Elec and Mech woes

Hi Tony,

Hope this message is directed at the right person and whom started and runs A2Cars. I recently bought an 2001 A2 1.4 Petrol, 38k on the clock and with full service history. It has turned out to be a complete dog ! So far the list of issues is as follows -

Overheats when cruising over 50mph to about 100Deg.
Heating does not work in the cab - i.e. cold only and the temp vent motors do not seem to move at all
The Aircon compressor seems to be on the whole time regardless whether the 'Econ' switch is pressed. And it does not get cold either.
EGR valve is problematical and keeps bringing the engine management light on.
Radiator fan seems to come on sporadically when various climate control buttons are pressed.
5th gear is dreadfully overgeared and when I'm cruising at about 70 it seems to be doing over 3000RPM which seems to be very high.

Is this something you could address if I brought it up to you to look at in a day as I'm down in Andover and ripping my hair out at the moment. Just want it all fixed.

Thanks in advance Tony

Steve

Hi Steve, Tony rarely visits the forum anymore so if you want A2Cars to complete the work it would be better to give them a call.

Best wishes

Steve

Hi all! I've just had a load of work carried out on Alison by A2 Cars in MK! A full service, cambelt etc, clutch master and slave cylinders, a coolant pipe and handbrake adjustment.

As usual, a very high standard of work, plus Alison was cleaned after all of this work!

Highly recommended.
