Really would like to see more info no this. Is it a turbo on a 1.6 FSI or is it the 1.4 TFSI motor?

Really impressive, have you ironed out the kinks yet? Could it be a daily?

Hi Clive ,

Interested to know at what boost your running the turbo at and weather it’s been on the dyne yet re BHP figures and the process taken to fit a turbo to a reletive frail and poorly engineneered FSI..
What brand of turbo have you strapped on and is that a custom intercooler of from a different variance of motor ?

More detail please ?

the fsi is far from fral..
ecu master ecu
front mount intercooler
custom pipe work
custom v band down pipe
not been on the dyno as yet, as im still remapping the car myself
boost guage not istalled as yet

What is it like on acceleration - smooth and extra torque lower down or do you need to rev it hard still to obtain the best momentum?

This is something i've been waiting to hear about for some time and would expect it to be a very good low rev puller being turbo because of this............ "100% daily plus now more mpg" From that i'm assuming you're using a really small turbo and mapping will be sensible?

Only thing that would worry me is,............. if the original pistons and rods are used are they able to take the extra punishment a turbo generates? Normally these things are different from NA compared to turbo-ed lumps. Very interesting either way and look forward to seeing the results.

Is the front bumper on yet as you made comment on FB that you couldn’t get the bumper over the front mounted intercooler ?..

yes its a small turbo, but use been using the car with no boost control, so it will be running manifold presure, wich would be about 10 psi, no det at all
the fsi love it. in fact i belive the turbo is a little small for the 1.6. once it dosent det the pistons and rods will be fine.
