I have now seen 2 A2's in Thames valley Police livery, the first time I saw one i thought I was seeing things

Probably costed for the expected trouble free life of the product. Quality is usually cheaper, hence expensive Volvos, they go on and on and on.......
I had a British Leyland once....... , the police had lots, for a little while. Some time ago the police in my area bought Daimler Darts, about 6 I believe, they wrote them all off in an extrememly short time.

After telling us this, you'll have to go down the police station and get them to join the A2OC and come to the social. Now that WOULD be a picture worth printing in a car mag - a police A2 surrounded by many other A2's.

That is some feat. I wonder if they are "community" cars used for admin (and show no doubt!). To use as grade 1 response vehicles would need a fair bit of upgrades (battery, wiring etc). I'm not aware Audi UK have a special vehicles department the likes Ford and Vauxhall have, but saying that I'm sure Audi Germany must have as they use A4 etc as police cars so they could have a hand in on this.
Either way, contact the headquarters and ask for the press office and get some info!.

The police over here mainly uses A4 Avants or A6 sedans, but I have seen one or two 911´s in green and white on the Autobahn....

I think this would make a good spot in the newsletter, but we'd need something soon. Any volunteers for making contact? I would do it, but as I live in the midlands it would be better for someone else I think (+ I already have plenty to do for the newsletter).

Norfolk Police had the Smart for a while-would like to see me get in that - all 6foot 2inch and 19 stone of me!.

Audi cars - Milton Keynes
MILTON Keynes Police take delivery of three new Audi cars tomorrow (Wednesday) courtesy of Wayside Audi.
The cars, featuring the Force’s livery, will be accepted by the area commander, Chief Superintendent John Reeve.
Two of the cars, of the A2 model, will be used by officers and civilian caseworkers as enquiry vehicles. They will be used to travel to the homes of victims and witnesses to take reports.
The third vehicle, an Audi A4 saloon, will be used by the Football Liaison Team, when Wimbledon Football Club move to the town.
The new cars are part of a partnership between Milton Keynes Police, Wayside and Wimbledon Football Club.
Kevin Geaney, the general manager at Wayside Audi, said: “We are very pleased to be working in partnership with the police.”
A police spokesman said: “We will have the vehicles on a 12-month contract initially and Wayside will carry out all the servicing. This is an excellent example of how partnership work can assist the police.”
The deal helps the police area which needs more non-emergency vehicles and allows officers who don’t have a full police driving permit to drive the vehicles.
The tax payer also benefits from the lease of the cars as the force is only being charged for about half the rate of a full year’s lease.
Note to editors: The Area Commander will be available for interview and photographing tomorrow at 2.30pm at the Central Milton Keynes Police Station in Witan Gate.
He will be accompanied by the General Manager at Wayside and a representative from Wimbledon FC who will all be available for interview.
So we missed the interview!!! By nearly a year!!!! And we only spotted one of these A2s now!!!!

The A2 must be based in Milton Keynes as it is near the central police station where Iv'e seen it. The A2 is in the Dolphin colour and has green and black stickers on it.
