Hello,New to this- Indicators and hazards have stopped working, I've had one dipped headlight bulb out for a while and meant to change it! Is it still a relay problem if the Hazards are also not working. No clicks or lights ? Pls help

A guess from me.....this could be the relay behind the ashtray I think. From what I recall, this is what happened to me. The instructions are on the site somewhere.

yep what gonzo said, be careful taking out the ashtray etc, was pretty simple when I did it. got a few scratches though! Do a search, lots of info on the forum about this problem.

To add to the replies:

This is a classic sign of indicator relay failure. The relay is a black box, around 5cm x 2cm x 10cm with an electrical connector at one end. It lives down behind the cubby hold/ashtray area and can be a bit daunting for a new owner to get to.

The easiest and tool free way to do it is to open the ashtray and empty your cubby hole shelf of everything. Then, put your hands in the cubby hole, one palm face down and the other face up and grip as best you can to the velour in there. A quick and sharp tug should release the cubby hole and then you can get in to access the relay.

It's not easily seen but it clips down below the ashtray area - you'll probably have to do it by feel, but it's not too tricky when you know how and where it is.

Cheers,

Michael

When you get the cubby hole out the relay will be behind two or three plastic dowels; it locates by way of two metal springs. I sort of broke mine getting the old one out as room is tight due to the amount of spaghetti around it. Once I got the old one out, I simply located the new one in the same area and secured it with cable ties. Took me about 31 minutes.
