A2-less!

It's a strange feeling, looking at the security camera and not seeing Tank sat there (with a snowy roof).

The little fella is having his blemishes on his bum removed at the bodyshop, but I don't think I'll be entering him in the concours d'elegance at ADI this year!

Feels like I'm missing a limb at the moment andcan't wait to have him back.

Cheers,

Mike

Mike, what a fright. When my mouse hovered over the A2-less item in my new posts page and I saw the text above, I thought someone had stolen your beloved A2. Phew, what a relief to hear it's just gone away for a bit of tender restoration to its bum!

More to the point Mike why dont you take a video of the drive
so that you can remmember what the drive looks like without
the Tank sat on it for future reference ..... lol :p

Yes, I have nightmares about that - he's irreplaceable!

It's just a few pimples on his bum, which have been there for ages. I took him into the bodyshop to get one of the doors adjusted (it had dropped in the 2 months since replacement!) and to ask about the paint flaking on the offside rear arch, which has been painted 4 times over the years.

They did the door there and then and suggested that they'd do the arch again plus fix all the other bits and pieces (sustained prior to reversing sensors) and keep the price down to a minimum, as materials were going onto the arch repair.

I'll hopefully have him back tomorrow afternoon (they do a might shift at my local aluminium bodyshop!!) spick and span.

Cheers,

Mike

I had flakey paint on the front bumper which was sorted out by Audi after a bit of an argument with them!

Ditto! Panic over.

Mike - ever thought about getting a garage to help protect the Tank from the locals? I sleep a little more soundly ever since I cleared out my garage to make space for my A2...

Yes, we had an 18' x 13' concrete garage built just over a year ago. However, Angie has commandeered 11' of the length for an office/workroom, so I have a little under 7' left, which I daresay would accomodate Tank if I could pull him in sideways, but I can't!

Security cameras, running 24/7 and the Thatcham alarm/immobiliser should do the trick of keeping him from being nicked, together with Supaglass to prevent opportunists from helping themselves to anything inside.

I am planning on a proper carport extension to the garage, but that will only keep him dry.

Cheers,

Mike
