A2 Northern Meet - NEW DETAILS ADDED

What a fantastic day. Thank you Hilary and Ian for organising this brilliant meeting place and getting such a fabulous spot for a photo too. Have had a wonderful day meeting new friends and catching up with the old ones too. Beautiful house and park, just makes me want to move to Yorkshire more

A very big thankyou to both Hilary and Ian for arranging a brilliant day.... flew by so quickly !. Great company and lovely scenery with good pub grub to end the afternoon. Thankyou to those who travelled some distance to attend.... very much appreciated. Also finally met "spike" at long last.... a true gent. :)

Likewise I would echo what Dave says. We intended to be heading home at 1.30 but ended up going for the cracking meal afterwards. Big thanks to Hilary and Ian and thanks to everybody else who I talked to during the day :)

We got back about an hour ago - another plus 50mpg on the return leg - happy with that.

A very big thank you to Hilary, Ian and Dave. Great hosts and a fantastic location and backdrop. The house was a joy to walk through and the grounds amazing. The pub was a great choice and the food and company exceptional.

Lovely to meet some new faces (and pets), catch up with the regulars and see an old friend. Great to meet Sir Spike, his wife Janet and their lovely dog too.

Very well done done on a great day and memorable weekend. Will post a few pictures later.

Not long home after a brilliant time in Leeds and an enjoyable 450 mile round trip in the A2. She was needing a good run .

Great night at the Harvester with some of the attendees and a fantastic venue arranged by Hilary and Ian for today's meeting - Many thanks indeed. And the pub meal was excellent. Best steak pie I've ever eaten!!

What a fab wee community A2OC truly is . Thanks to everyone.

Thanks everyone for making me, Janet and Meeka so welcome at Temple Newsham, especially to Hillary for the extra encouragement to attend.
As indicated in an earlier post, it was our 47th wedding anniversary today, so it was with some trepidation that I suggested we celebrate by attending an A2oc social meeting.
Janet really enjoyed the company, so much so that I never got even one of here speciality sideways looks while chatting about all things A2.
We both had a great time.

Janet also remarked on how nice, and well brought up, all the children were - so if there is ever an 'adopt a grandparent' event at school, please put our names down

Cheers Spike

Wow, what a fabulous day. Thank you so much to Hilary and Ian for arranging such a brilliant event. It was great having the cars lined up in front of the houses down I love going around places that have ghosts - the house was amazing.

I loved meeting everyone - both people I already knew and the new faces (including the fluffy ones). The pub afterwards was perfect and a lovely way to round a great day off. Even the A17 was devoid of tractors in the way home!

I hope everyone got home ok. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thanks again Hilary and Ian

Thanks to Hillary & Ian and all fellow club members for making our first social such a fantastic day. We were made to feel most welcome by all - such a great bunch with a common interest. A great venue with plenty of room for Rosie to stretch her legs and first class pub food at the end of the day☺. Rosie made lots of new friends, especially Oscar who gave her his leftover meat which she enjoyed with relish when we got home. Looking forward to the next event at The Manor in two weeks time.
