Bespoke Club Branded Number Plate Surrounds

I'm interested in the raised chrome lettering. My rear plate is flapping away.

Would be good to get a nice font for the web address. It'll be interesting working out what parts of the logo can be mirrored given the amount of linework.

I thought that about the website font too - but to be fair, it was based on 5 minutes work :)

Morning All,

Thank you for registering interest in purchasing bespoke club number plate surrounds. I am not just yet taking orders as I don't have the design options back from Helmut-Seitz. Shouldn't be long now

Below is what has been sent to them (thanks Vonnie as I'm an IT mong sometimes) but as some of you have mentioned, the club logo is quite detailed and they may come back with something that we don't actually like thus the reason for not taking any orders this early.

I'll start a new thread when the design is back from Germany so all can see and also add your name to the order. It'll be a spreadsheet updated by myself just like Steve Birchall recently did for the Votex spoilers and full kits.

The total cost of delivery to your Mainland UK address is not yet known but it shouldn't be more than £15 to your door. The actual cost of getting the surrounds delivered to me in Coalville is EUR10.46 per pair, depending on exchange rate, please don't use the one from my earlier post. Then the cost of onward distribution to your good selves must be considered. As I said, shouldn't be more than £15 total, obviously more for non Mainland UK and further afield.

Please wait just a little longer for Helmut-Seitz to reply and I will start taking orders.

Kind regards,

Tom

Love these. Great effort Tom . I'll register my interest in the 2nd example. Would proudly display these. Big thumbs up.

Hi Tom, put me down for a set of option 2 please.

Could you also tell me if the postage would be much cheaper to Wetzlar, Germany?

Cheers for all the hard work.

Evening all,

I have had the initial design back from Helmut-Seitz which requires minimal adjustment. Some detail has been lost on the Club logo car. This is due to the line of the line drawing needing to be thicker. The main detail lost is the wheel spokes and the Audi quad ring logo on the service flap.

It still looks very good though. I'll get the example posted here shortly when I get in from work.

Registering interest and ordering will be on a separate thread once you've all had time to view the example designs over the next few days.

Kind regards,

Tom

Probably just a screen issue, but the text is not as sharp as option 1.

Might just be the font not displaying correctly actually, because the original option 2 in this post is crystal clear:

Hello,

The blurred text is my doing whilst I was waiting for Helmut-Seitz to update me with another iteration of the designs. I now have the 're-designs' back and have also printed them to see what they look like on a filthy car.

Give me 30 minutes and I'll upload pictures.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening All,

Below are the images of what has been worked on at Helmut-Seitz. The font style and size is fixed but please add comment on the club logo now it has lost some detail. This is the best detail that they can do which I'm totally happy with but I have only been on here since Oct 15. What do the more senior members think, should we keep the club logo or ditch it due to not being 100% accurate?

This image shows the 2 options, option 1 with website address and option 2 'Audi A2 Owners Club'. I personally prefer option 2. Both options will be raised/embossed text and logos in white paint. White paint lasts longer than the chrome paint, chrome stated to only last 3 years.

Options.JPG

This is option 1 printed (not quite to scale) and placed on the front bumper.

Option 1.JPG

This is option 2 printed (again not quite to scale) and placed on the front bumper.

Option 2.JPG

This last image shows the detail of the logo which can be produced in the raised relief/embossed.

The minimum order will still be 100 pairs which I hope we can sell. The price will go up slightly as they hadn't added VAT to the previous figures I stated in this thread. I can promise you all that this will all be above board and all invoices are being sent to the Club Administrators for 'sructineering'. These surrounds will be sold at no profit to myself or the Club what so ever just like other items recently available on the Forum.

I'll sit back for a few days now and observe comments on the designs to see what is the preferred option. Lets say Monday/Tuesday evening when I'll take orders. Payments will be via PayPal I guess, this will be confirmed by the Administrators who are contacting me over the weekend.

Hope you like the look of one of the options as Id really like a pair of these on my car.

Kind regards,

Tom

I really like metal plates

Ive not yet personally considered metal pressed plates but agree they would very neat in these surrounds. Either way I will need new number plates as I don't like to after market dealers address on the bottom of my current plates.

Decisions decisions!

Kind regard,

Tom

I like both, so in any case, my order for 3 sets is confirmed.
A big THANK YOU to all of you involved in this!

Boris

I like option 2 the best. Also (and I'm not suggesting this would ever happen) if the site address ever changed then it doesn't affect my plates.

I'll take two, one front, one back.

It'll look fantastic, especially with pressed plates!
