Chat A2 number SIX in the family !!!!

My son wanted a cheap car and since his wife has had an A2 for some time now and "loves" it, he has decided that another A2 this time for him.

His budget was restricted and we were looking at a top price of £1,500 and it had to be a tdi.

After a lot of searching I spotted an eBay "one day auction" item for a tdi "Needing a Gearbox".

He managed to buy it for £530 !!!!!!!!!

The bodywork seems to be in good condition for a 2001 and the "Gearbox fault" sounds to me more like a clutch slave cylinder (which would be a result!!!)

It drives without issue and all gears are fine but the pedal is spongey and gears are difficult to engage!! So a new slave cylinder may be all it needs!!!

So now that is A2 number SIX

both Daughters and our Daughter in-law
and now my son!!!!

6 TDIs and 6 happy owners who have no intentions of getting rid of their A2!!

If we were to ever go anywhere together it would look like an A2 convoy!!!

I think a group photo is much needed if you ever get them all together and £530 is an absolute steal!!

This is the car he bought, as usual the pictures always make a car look nice, but he says that the bodywork is as good as it looks here.

So as long as the clutch is an easy fix, it could be the bargain of the year!!!

Looking good! That's the Atlantic blue color code z5r. Same as mine
Get the real center caps, someone must have mixed their caps and put those small ones on.

wow 6 a2's in the family now, well that is something. maybe even a record

its an absolute steal if its a cheap fix but what puzzles me is that this looks like azure blue like mine but gurux quotes the colour as atlantic blue, is there a small difference between the two?
