A2 UK Sales Figures

Hi All, I have been speaking with Audi UK trying to get some Sales figures for the A2 over here as I know all we have is German figures, DVLA figures and worldwide production figures. After finding a very helpful chap over there I have been able to get the below figures on total sales, unfortunatley they are unable to split out into any more detail than this due to how old the data is and having migrated systems multiple times since but gives us a good idea of how rare certain Specifications are and how few total were actually sold! = 18,910 total

I think they've got the figures for the TDI75 SE and Sport transposed with the same models of the TDI90. The '90 didn't appear until a '53 plate, so late 2003. There not being a Special Edition version of it (or the FSI for that matter) is correct.

If the tdi 75 sport figures are correct - total UK sales 152 - I think that means I have the rarest A2 in the UK?! Mine is a 53 plate though, I wonder if they only sold in 2004? Very interesting and revealing sales table ??

Does seem very low on the 1.4 TDI Sport, i wonder if the data has been mixed in the 90PS ones as they should be rarer!

That would make more sense - 152 total sales would have to be one of Audi UK’s lowest ever sales total for any spec! Guessing 1.2 tdi imports would be very low too……

Sorry , I know there was a lot of work in producing this but I have zero confidence in its accuracy. Can you get your source to explain the glaring errors?

1.2 TDI imports is a handful. As in probably less than 5, i remember it being less than 10.

The data doesn’t seem to be particularly accurate. I have a 2001 SE TDI 75, which according to the above they made none!

I know it to have been 2 as i've broken them ?

Yes, some significant differences to the DVLA data I analysed There will be some differences as a vehicle maybe bought in one year but not actually delivered and registered until the following year.
