I was in Geneva on Tuesday for the motor show. It was the first show in 3 years I have been to with NO A2 on the Audi stand! [29]
Oh well... end is nigh. Did look at the A3 Sportback very lustfully though. They had one on the stand with the £1050 Open Sky option. It looks just like the one on my A2 BUT the rear glass over the back seats don't slide away like on the A2!!! Grrr Thus the front piece of glass can only slide back a tiny tiny bit compared to the A2's! I was very dissapointed when I saw this.
Ans that is FULLY OPEN!!!
AND inside the roof does not have the easy-on-the-fingers round sunroof button with preset positions as in other Audis. No it has the same nasty rectangular open/close button as on the A2.
Even so if I order a new Sportback it will definitely have this roof as closed it lets in so much light front and back. It also now has roller shutters for front and back in the central section but you have to pull them out yourself. The new Astra Estate has electric blind AND a button with preset positions for its massive twin glass roof. Come-on Audi why so skimpy?!!
