a4 won't start

Hello all. I have learned a great deal about my Audi reading the posts and was hoping someone could help me. I have a 2000 a4 1.8, and yesterday out of nowhere it won't start. Battery is fine - everything is working. When I turn the key to start, I simply get a quick clicking noise and then...nothing! Anyone have any ideas? I really don't have the $$$ to go to the dealer (nevermind the fact that I can't get the car there)! I am pretty handy, and can follow directions, so if someone has an idea, I am willing to try.

Hi Mcatalina,

I would start by taking a look at the starter motor. Sounds like it is not engaging.
