ABS ESP Fault Lights On Dash

Hi,
I have an A2 1.4TDI. The ESP and ABS dash warning lights are on. I have been quoted £835 for a new ABS ecu from my local VW specialists. I have contacted ECU-REPAIRS who will have a look at my ABS ecu, but can't guarantee fixing it and will charged me £170 for the pleasure with no warranty at all. Is there anywhere else than can repair this unit?

Hi

Before going down that route get a diagnostic scan and then post back with any fault codes.

There are many things that cause these lights to come on.

Spoke to Audi specialists today. They tell me that they get fault saying the unit is incorrectly coded. They assure me that they are using the code for the ABS ecu that is fitted. The fault code is 01044, if anyone can help?:confused:
