Abs light sendng me nuts

Hi,

I have a 2000 audi a2 1.4 petrol and the abs light has been on since I bought it as well as the three dings and exclamation mark. I paid to have codes read and got the following:
00283 ABS Sensor front left
00285 ABS Sensor front right
00290 ABS Sensor rear left
01044 control module incorrectly coded
01314 engine control module no communication
01423 lateral acceleration Sensor G200 circuit failure
00814 solenoid for brake pressure n247
00812 brake pressure release solenoid f84
00778 steering angle Sensor no communication
01312 powertrain data bus faulty intermittent

When i bought the a2 all the warning lights were already on. I have replaced all of the sensors with new ones, checked all of the wires and ran continually tests and they are all fine. Cleared the faults with vcds lite and no only have one fault 18057 power train data bus missing message with abs controller, replaced the module and pump, with a tested matching numbers version and it is still the same
Now run out of ideas - any pointers????

Worn wheel bearings can cause the ABS light to come on. Something to do with there being too much play between the sensor and the wheel, I think. Is that any help?

I had constant problems with ABS lights coming on with my bearings. They would go off after a restart and pop up again after a short drive (or a bump).

It was the spacing between the sensor rings and pickups. The Garage claimed it was the bearing they used and replaced it under warranty. Same issue again on the other side and same need to replace again. They claimed it was a particular brand, I think they were using a press to fit.
Certainly caused lots of ABS ‘all the lights beep beep BEEP!’ alarms!

Some progress, connected the old abs module and it suddenly connected to the vcds, swapped to the new module without disconnecting the battery and it now communicates. Now have front left abs sensor g47 fault, steering sensor fault and intermittent yaw sensor. Changed sensor for another new one and checked the wiring, still the same. Bearing and ring pick up is now the next thing to check, change.

Some feedback - after still getting a fault reading linked to front left abs sensor. Checked the wiring and also ran extra wires from the front right sensor to the front left plug and the fault on vcds disappeared so we know the module and wiring is OK. Had two new sensors so abs ring in bearing it must be. Ordered bearing and vag bearing extraction kit from Germany ??. Removed old bearing and fitted new one in properly. Plugged in vcds and still the same fault, stupid car. Checked the abs sensors with a multimeter and getting two significantly different readings, does anyone happen to know what a perfectly working abs sensor should read on a multimeter? This will eliminate this - if both new sensors are duff then yippee, otherwise I'm completely stuck with what to do next.....

Looks like the total resistance for the sensor and wiring back to the ABS pump main connector is 1.5 ohms max -

Cheers Spike

Update, the two brand new abs sensors bought from two different suppliers onlne are duds, new sensor now wipes out fault. Just left with a flashing abs light now, and g85 steering angle fault. Getting a measurement through the vcds lite software but the software will not allow calibration so I will have to get different software, find someone with it or take it to the so called specialist - so close.....
