Adding RNS-E

This has been asked multiple times I'm sure but I'm out in the field as it were and the search function on Tapatalk isn't awesome.

I've got Bose and I've just purchased an RNS-E unit to fit. Now I know I've got to get the adapter loom but what is the situation regarding Bose pin outs etc.

Hope you can help. Regards, M

Edit: this is the unit I'm planning this fit. Not that I think it makes a difference?

Provided you've got the correct adaptor unit (ie a BOSE one) it should just be a fairly straightforward job. You might need to re-program with VCDS if you've got DIS. If you want to pop up again we could have a go over a weekend.

Connector B, Pin 7 needs to be tied to earth in order to enable Bose. I have never seen an off-the-shelf QuadLock adapter do this, so some modification of the adapter is always necessary. You'll also need to pick up the speed signal and feed it to Connector B, Pin 3.

Cheers,

Tom

Ok cheers chaps. Yes the links on that post are ideal spike.
I've got dis but if it needs it I can do the programming at home thanks for the offer.
Cheers tom, hadn't given a speed signal a thought, should just be able to splice straight from the instrument cluster feed I imagine.

Yes thats where I did mine and then I have coded the RNSe as if it were installed in an Audi A6.
