Adhesive for bump stop mod

Got all the bits Schnelletrecker recommends replacing when doing the FSD + Weitec 30/30 suspension upgrade.

As the bump stops are made from a PU type 'rubber' I decided to use a polyurethane sealer/adhesive when shortening and resticking the new rear stops, rather than using 'a low viscosity super glue' as he suggests.

I used 'Tiger Seal' made by U-Pol and it's worked a treat (don't get it on any cuts though as it contains isocyanates!). It comes in a standard cartridge, remains permanently flexible, and sticks like the proverbial 's**t to a blanket'. It also has the advantage of ensuring a uniform bond across the joint surfaces as it fills the inevitable surface imperfections left after you have cut through the original stops. Try and make sure you've got a few other jobs to do with it because once the cartridge seal is broken the whole contents start curing.

After 24 hrs cure time the modified rear bump stops are indistinguisable from the originals - just 30mm shorter.

All I need now is for the Weitecs to arrive from Germany to get the conversion done.

P.S. the avatar pic of a very chilled out 'roo was taken at Wilson's Prom Vic. last August
