We have a 2002 1.4 which has a few electrical gremlins. Having tried many other options we're considering swapping the ECU. I've been doing a bit of reading up and can confirm we have the type 3 immobiliser, which will require an SKC code (which we don't have).
A couple of questions:
Can the SKC code be interrogated using VAG tacho?
Do completely new keys have to be purchased to pair with the replacement ECU?
Do you know of anybody in the north of England with VAG tacho?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
