air con question?

Hi I have not had air con before and was wondering if it is normal for you to get a musty smell when it stats up?

After a short time it is ok and the smell goes away.

I had a scotts air com purge done 10/11/09 but not used air con much since then

You should use your air-con at least once a week just to keep it steared up, don't forget in the winter it warms up alot quicker and demist's the windows

My brother in law said Aldi have something at only £1.99, that you but in the rear footwell and set it off, what ever that means, then put the aircon on and close all the doors and windows and leave for 20 mins or so.

It's supposed to suck in the air freshner / cleaner into the aircon and make it all smell fresh!

I have no experience of it myself.
