Air filter replacement - worth using Audi or Pipercross?

Hi

I went to GSF today and got oil (VW 507.00) and an oil filter, but the guy forgot to get the air filter. Looking at their website, it seems they only sell Pipercross air filters for our car. These seem to be K&N style servicable filters that use oil...

Are they OK or should I buy a genuine Audi air filter from Stoke Audi?

Depending on how oily they are, they could damage your MAF. Stick with the standard OE filter and just get it from a local dealer, as after postage is added, it'll be no cheaper from Stoke.
