As the car is looking like going 2 years before a service I decided to get the bonnet off and do some 'fettling' in the sunshine yesterday. Checked all the fluid levels and wiring to make sure they were all OK and I intended to remove the airfilter and give it a quick clean out. Looking in the engine bay I could see nothing which shouted 'air filter' box. Can someone advise me where it is and whether its easily accessible.

I also changed the wheels round (or at least two of them, the bolts on the other two were well and truly stuck. Thanks to Gordons Tyres Leeds for swapping them for nothing), the fronts were showing wear and would probably last until about 20,000 miles (on 15k at the mo), the rears were barely touched. By swapping them I may not need to get any replaced before I change the car.

Had a look at my fronts the other day (16,000 Miles)they are starting to look a little worn, what sort of mileages are people getting out of there tyres, since i have never got passed 10,000 on a set before on any of my previous cars?

Sorry no idea on the air filter

Mine have done 25k and still have 6mm on them.
Rears as new.
No, I don't drive like a granny. The orange winky thing on the dash is always on!
Michelin Primacy

Wow! Only 1mm to 2mm of wear after 25k.[13]

You must be heading for 60k to 80k on those front tyres, and the Primacy isn't even Michelin's high mileage model.
