Airbag light on

Just wondering if there is any Audi A2 specialist in the Sussex area that could look into an airbag light staying on?

Anything triggering the airbag light will permanently put the light on, could be the issue isn't present now but until the fault memory is erased the light won't go out

Ps most likely a connection under front seat

The light stays on even when erased. So the fault is ongoing. Frustratingly I did not get the fault codes when it was last erased.

what is vcds saying?, often its on due to under seat connector bad connection, battery off, disconnect yellow plug few times, connect bk on, connect battery, reset error,

I shall give this go, Hopefully this will rectify the issue! Appreciate input. If not I’ll see if I can get it booked in for diagnostic check.

Vcds would say exactly why its on

following the scan, I am pretty sure your drivers airbag wiring is broken high resistance.

Coincidentally, I've just replied to a PM from @JoshPastars asking whether he'd had a diagnostic scan performed.

Thanks @Ami. This arms me with a helpful clue about where the issue lies and therefore what I'll need to remedy the issue.

@timmus I tried 2 know good airbags but not the airbag, pretty sure the wire is broken at the female end of the connector, didnt have time to remove seat etc

I did it with my snap on diagnostic tool, N95 if I remember correctly, drivers side airbag high resistance, hope this helps.
