Hi guys recently a post was started on the A2's alarm siren being well pretty quiet. Having looked at different routes to better the volume of the siren input i stumbled across a alarm add on.

Its the Cobra compact 3868 PLIP this alarm utilise's the cars original key plip as it works on the central locking so no need for additional keyfobs.

I've ordered one so should be here soon and off course the siren will be positioned under the bonnet and shouldn't be muffled at all.

Once installed i'll let you know what i think.
 
You may find that the siren unit is covered by large amount of foam, under the driver side rear light cluster. While I was checking my unit for the 4 beeps, I took a picture which you can see from the '4 beepd after starting engine' thread

While the foam and light was out, I tested the alarm and it sounded at least 3x louder! So you may be able to save some money by simply cutting out the foam around it. If it is still not loud enough, then get something else.
