my a2 1.4 petrol beeps thrice esp on very low speed with flashing info panel light and 4 lights turn on with this, as shown in the pic. it loses power intermittently and RMP becomes too unstable once these lights go on. these lights used to go off after restarting the car , then the EML started to remain lit and now all these lights either remain lit or turn on soon after coasting. recently cleaned the throttle body, replaced the spark plugs and also replaced the MAP sensor. doing 290miles for a tank full of v-power. any ideas plz???

is it low speed and when the engine is low on rev and you're turning? When my battery was on the way out, low speed turning would sometime cause the lights and system to shut down and engine shut off as well. Battery voltage is easy and cheap to check. If not a problem, follow Sarge's advice and get a scan for fault codes.

You may not be aware but if you do a search (using the search box) there is a wealth of information on the forum that you will find really useful :)

Here is the link to my Earthing Points thread:

thanks sarge, will take me ages to find out this many points but your help is indeed appreciated :) bundle of thanks.
i've got these faults through VAG device:
Got 2 issues here:-
1- Barometric Manifold pressure signals: implausible correlation.
2- Engine control module-sporadic 013, check DTC memory.

Your comments plz...

FYI: i had serviced the throttle body and also replaced the MAP sensor with genuine part. the throttle body was quite gunky and i assume that the EGR valve must be loaded too but i guess there is no way to clean it from inside???

thanks sarge, i'll examine the piping tmorw morning.

the codes i got are 17961 & 01314.
btw the rediness test failed o2 sensor, catalyst, evap and egr sys.
