AMF Engine

Are all versions of the AMF engine the same ? ie i know the cambelt tensioner changed in 2001.

I'm going to be changing the cambelt and oil pump chain on managements car, just wondered if the parts for this would be the same as mine, hers has the later cambelt tensioner.

Easier to just order the same parts again rather than spending ages in the parts department if they are the same.

When I bought my parts prior to a particular VIN the belt is hydraulic damped. Post it is friction friction damped.
Don’t know if the engine designation changed but it is all in the manuals and parts lists.

Item 3 shows the related VIN numbers for each change

Thanks , I have the correct cambelt kit, i'm trying to see if the oil pump drive chain etc changed in the lifetime of the AMF engine

this would suggest not as regards the chain itself, but I don't know about the associated sprockets etc - they don't seem to be on this diagram.
