Having been tempted by the installation of an iPod that other forum members have described, I eventually plumped for the 6 disc Symphony II when I ordered my car last week - I already have enough GPS wires and add-ons trailing around my dashboard, boot and roof [:I]

While surfing for an alternative I came across the Neuros http://www.neurosaudio.com. Whilst not looking as svelte as the iPod, it has the advantage of an inbuilt FM transmitter which allows it to connect wirelessly to any head-unit - sounds great if you've got more than one car or if, like me, you use large numbers of rental cars.

I wonder if it will be released/get licensed over here (UK).

I bought one of those FM transmitters the last time I was in the U.S., to untangle the cable mess a little, but it proved very unreliable, because we have so many really strong radio stations over here (and the A2´s antenna is so far way from the dashboard....) I would have to mount the transmitter on the inside if the roof right where the glass of the boot door starts (and would have to sneak the cable all the way to the dashboard).... so I dumped the idea. (I can bring the transmitter to the social, in case anyone wants to try it....) It seems you can only try to hook up an MP3 Player through the CD-Changer input (I have the correct cable, but due to the CAN-Bus wiring, the cable is not recognized as a Changer, it´s supposed to work on older Concert radios.....) or to buy one of these FM modulators you can loop into the cable from the antenna to the stereo. So for the moment, I´m stuck with the iPod in the left cupholder..:)

Bye, Frido.
