Nod: ......... Would like to meet up sometime. I didn't know there'd be any proper enthusiasts down 'ere. Bang on the door for a chat anytime. I am concerned about the plastic water bits, because the 1.6 I had some years ago suffered badly from water problems. Any advice will be welcome. Thank you for the contact. Stephen B.

Me again...... I am taking my 1.6 to AVS Service Centre at Wilson Way, Redruth tomorrow for a report on what is needed. They have been independent Audi/VW people for many years. Their set-up seems very good, and me saying I have an A2 didn't faze them! I'll report back.

Coincidently both the father and son drive Audis (S3 and S4 Estate) if I recall.

PS Its got a Cornish oven pasty shop next door and they are the best pasties in West Cornwall IMO (lets not argue on that)

THank you so much for the info. I hadn't thought about Glassons, and didn't know that an A2 would not be alien to them. However, I have now booked it into AVS Service Centre on Wilson Way tomorrow, so let's see how things go.
I'm with you on Oven Door Pasties. They are the best bought 'uns. We have a branch here in Penzance.
