Chat Another Newbie.. Hello..

I have been browsing this forum now for a few months, doing the research, wondering what spec to go for etc etc etc..

I eventually went for a 2005 1.4Tdi with 50k miles. Nothing fancy, just about as basic as they come but with air con. It has 15" alloys which have either been refurbished or are a replica replacement type. Not fussy either way they still look nice. A few little dings on the doors and the usual minor wear n tear type marks on the car. I deliberately avoided one with an open sky roof. The worry about maybe having to fork out nearly £2k for a repair if it did fail put me off.

I am very impressed with the A2 so far. I cant believe how much space there is and the fuel economy is fantastic. It has now turned into the car of choice for daily local use with my S4 Avant being left on the drive. Only driven it once in the two weeks we have had the A2.

So a little bit about myself then, I live in Scotland in Glenrothes, work in the oil industry and have a few very expensive hobbies. Until last year I held a race licence and competed in the Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb championship with a Lotus Elise. (another aluminium chassis car) and am now running around various bits of woodland playing airsoft, which is a bit like paintball for grown ups..

Anyway, just thought I would say hello and introduce myself a bit before I start with the miriad of questions.:)
