Anti roll bar bushes, what type do I have?

Hi guys, I have a knock/rattle coming from roughly the area of the front quarter passenger side (ish). Drop links are a week old and are rock solid. Thinking it must be the ARB bushes. I have read various threads on this but I’m not sure what kind I have. I read that earlier models had an inner plastic collar. I have 2005 model, but it seems (to my untrained eye) to have an inner collar. I Have taken a photo of it below. Can anybody advise on what it is please? Also how big a job is this to do myself? I haven’t worked on cars for a very long time but I’m willing to have a go. Would I need to buy and specialist tools other than spanners?

thanks

Thanks Spike

I think I will have to have it done professionally. I would need to buy a torque wrench, axle stands etc.

Does anyone know how to test if the bush is good or not? i’d be gutted to spend the money and still have the rattle afterwards.

Just a thought, test the corner of the bonnet on that side, up by the scuttle. The plastic cups that the bonnet securing lugs sit in do move in their holders, causing a rattle that can sound like a dead drop-link. ARB bushes would be a heavier, duller sound.

Thanks, I will try that. It doesn’t sound like a had enough knock to be suspension related. There’s no vibration coming through the car or the steering. I’m hoping it’s just something loose.
