Hi Pig Boy,
Mine was replaced by Audi under warranty when the car went in for it's first MOT.
The bushes and the drop links are easy to replace ... but I think you need to do a bit of dismantling around the subframe if you want to replace the actual bar itself.

Our A2 Anti Roll Bar was also replaced under the Audi New Car Warranty. It started knocking. The Anti Roll Bar Bushes had failed. I think the Original Bushes were not replaceable separately from the Anti Roll Bar Assembly. That may no longer be the case due to a later Modification ? Many years later I replaced the Anti Roll Bar Drop Links with Heavy Duty Meyle Items. Not failed again yet.

On the A2 i use to own i replaced the old ARB with the new style one, from what i remember we dropped the rear of the subframe enough to allow the bar to pass through, but i was replacing quite a bit of stuff on the front end at the time so its a bit of a blur as it was 12 years ago, i pretty much replaced every nut bolt and washer on the front end.
