Anyone fitted a 4 Branch manifold to an A2

Hi - haven't fitted one but very interested in result as have one on the shelf waiting to be fitted to my aua engine (1.4 16v. Petrol). Like to know if engine light will come on as standard a2 petrol has two cats - one in the exhaust manifold and one post cat. Like to know if car will pass emissions test with only post cat and if any lights will come on in display showing fault code generated.

Cheers Dave

If you remove the pre cat in the manifold the engine light stay off and the car still passes the Mot. I gutted mine 2 years ago. Lol

Hi - that's great to know - thanks for the information - mine is a stainless decat manifold so not a full 4 branch - but much lighter than stock and no restriction and looks so much better. Another job when the weather gets warmer.

Thanks again - David

I am wanting to fit a full 4 - 2 - 1 manifold and remove the main CAT to. Improve mid torque and top end power.

Sounds fabulous but how do you pass mot with no cats and lights on dash or is this an off road maximum power project

This a2 is my every day car lol , have an audi b5 S4 with 600bhp for fun.

The a2 won't have any lights on the dash. I will get it passed at the mot.
