Hi
Sold our old A2 tdi se 2001 'Y' plate to watson 306 back in 2013. They are very good cars and the missus has never let me hear the end of it!
Now in the market for another. Have seen this at a very good price, just wondering if anyone here knows of the car.
It is in Hull at the moment in a garage (provisionally sold to me).
Really like the colour, It's Not very well specc'd up, standard sport spec me thinks. But seems to be well looked after with good audi and evans halshaw service history.

HI
It has got climate with the usual button wear. Don't think the wheels have been refurbed although they are in very good condition for age. Car has covered a genuine 103k just had it hpi checked come back all clear.

Well I think it looks like a great car, and a lovely colour... I'd happily buy it, if I hadn't bought one last week!!

Hi Steve,

I came up with Laurence when he bought your car - it's still going strong.

I really like the colour of this one - buy it and steadily upgrade it to how you want it.

Cheers

Hi Jeff.
Glad to hear our old A2 is still going strong. Pity I didn't have your services on this one. The mileage and condition of this car all seems ok.
Only issue I have is there is no paperwork on a timing belt change? It should have been done but nothing in the book or service receipts?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

It would be quick unusual for the belt not to have had at least one change.
It's quite easy to remove the top cambelt cover and take a look at the belt condition, but perhaps for peace of mind you could come to an arrangement with the dealer that they will pay a percentage for the cost of a new belt.
I'd expect around £350 inc vat for a belt change from a good independant in your neck of the woods, but it's always worth spending an extra £70 (ish) for a new waterpump and coolant while the belt is getting done.

If any of the services in the service book are from VAG dealerships, they will have a record on their computer system of all work carried out by VAG, so you might be able to track down a belt change.

Anything you need, let me know.

Cheers
Jeff

DE03UPG is MOT,d until Dec 16. On its last MOT - 2nd Dec 2015 it had done 96,473 miles. In the past it has had advisories/fails on the rear springs and brake discs so these should have been replaced - worth a check. It has had 7 owners and is not recorded as being either stolen or scrapped. :)

No info on any cambelt change, sorry. I would look to Jeffs advice and give Audi a ring on Monday morning or look carefully at its history. If the previous owners have kept up to the changes purely on a time basis it should have been changed at least twice by now. I have known the little 3 pots go 120,000 miles without a change but its not worth the risk.

This gives access to its complete MOT history including all passes, fails and advisories plus the all important mileage verification.....

Looks a lovely colour Steve. Good luck with the purchase and glad to see your also in South Wales :)

Thanks Steve
Hmm leather and alcantara sounds like a very nice combo will have to start a savings fund!
Had a nice mod on my old A2 that wasn't too expensive, the front stowage tray(sits in between handbrake and gearstick) Can these still be bought?
