Anyone know this car

Hi Phil here,

I've just put a deposit down on a black A2 1.4 TDI SE with 107K on the clock. Reg number BK52ZDV. Looking at the MOT history on line it seems to have spent most of it's MOTed life around the Blackpool area but was first MOTed in Stonehaven (Aberdeenshire). Does anyone know this car? I'd like to dig up some history if I can as the dealer doesn't have any. The car looks OK, no oil leaks, no signs of damp, dings, overspray etc. It seemed to drive OK apart from a misfire under acceleration which the dealer is to sort out before we take ownership.

Been looking through some past threads and I'm impressed by the amount of knowledge you all seem to have. Hopefully I won't be need to use too much of it. What I might be interested in though, when we get the car, is someone in the Leicester area whole could scan the car for me to see if there are any faults logged.

Thanks,

Phil

If you go to Audi itself, they may be able to give you a new service book with parts of the service history reprinted (i.e., the services done at any franchised Audi garage). Then once you have the new book, phone the garages in the MOT list & also any VAG / Audi specialists in the blackpool area to see if any of them were looking after the car & can fill in the gaps.

Hi and welcome to the A2oc and soon to be A2 ownership.

Mike has given you some good advice.

For a scan I am in Hutingdon, you have hotstuff in Bedford and mustang owner ear Northampton.

Cheers

David

Thanks for the ideas. Hadn't thought of approach Audi but now you suggest it is seems the obvious thing to do. Also, PM sent to Riverlad.

Just heard from the garage it failed the MOT due to a badly scratched windscreen so won't be ready until next week. When they have replaced the windscreen.

Phil

Hi one point to note about the scratched screen---was it a radial scratch caused by the wiper arm hitting the screen? As it will need replacing with the newer type "flex" wiper arm.
Enjoy your car when you get it and keep an eye on the socials section-it would be good to see you and your car. cheers Mike
