Information Are there many members in Scotland

Unfortunately not close to you as I'm from Stonehouse , South Lanarkshire . Bought a tdi75 se earlier on this year as my daily commuting car . Fantastic wee car and so cheap to run . Would be good to try and arrange a Scottish meet .

This social, 8 miles west of Scotch Corner. is not too far, even for a day trip if an overnight stay is not practical

Cheers Spike

I live in the east end of glasgow, see a few A2 around glasgow fairly often.

The Glasgow Audi Dealership also has a friendly A2 owner that works there.

I'm just up the road in Stonehouse . Have seen two silver and one black A2 recently around this area . Any of them yours?
Maybe, I'm driving Woody(info in sig) at the moment as Joe is unwell though due to the recent heat I have also been driving Smurf and Buzz as they both have working AC (and my replacement condenser and dryer are taking ages to get here). Woody is fairly easily distinguished by the wheels(and roof rack).

I regularly see a silver 05 plate with roof rack in Carluke and parked on Cardies Bridge near Garrion though the last time I saw it the plate had 'changed' to AUD 18x x, is the owner here?

Hi guys, I’m in Aberdeen, 3 FSI colour storms a 75tdi, a 90Tdi and 2 1.4 petrols.....2 missing off the photo! I’ve got a cafe here on our farm park and plenty of parking if anyone fancies a mini-meet.

We’ve got a holiday home with four double beds and a field for camping.... and a garage for repairs/mods but we might need to see if we could book Timmus if we were going that far.
Maybe just a meet and a coffee for the first one. We’ll be busy over the October school holidays and Christmas but any other time would work for me. Do we need to do anything to make it a formal A2OC thing or just keep it as a casual meeting? Any thoughts?

Best to get in touch with @Proghound and @Teresa who are the social secretaries. I'm sure they will welcome another member looking to run a local social, but speaking to them will mean you will get their advice on things that work/don't work.

Indeed, the Club is more than happy for members to run their own local socials. The Socials forum is there for publicising them, and I can help you add RSVP and even the Calendar countdown if you'd like. The suggestion of a meet up and a coffee to start with sounds good, that's pretty much what happened this weekend just gone with the Facebook group in Milton Keynes, and everyone that I spoke to said they'd enjoyed it. Some people had travelled from outside the local area too, even from Ooop North :) I'd just suggest that you set people's expectations up front in whatever you post, so that they can choose to come or not based on what you plan to do.

That sounds like good advice, thank you. I’ll have a think and then ask for advice!

Soooo, that all sounds good and we have a few folks interested. When is the next question, is it before the Oct school holidays or after?
A quick poll of answers would be useful. So any weekend day except between 8th and 31st Oct (still busy at Halloween). 6th or 7th Nov ?
A loose meeting for coffee and a blether maybe between 11.00 and 14.00, there’s the farm park if anyone wants to bring family. If that works out we can plan something for next year and perhaps ask Timmus to do a workshop and offer camping space for overnighting.
What’s your thoughts?
