are they special?

You can get a 1.6 from 13k+, TDI £12k+, 1.4 £11k+ for less than a year old model from an audi dealer. Older models, about 10k+ (not many sub tens). So a 6-12 month old TDI for 12k is not bad considering it was 15k+ new. And then it will lose 1-2 grand over the following year.

Karcsi: Is that SE models?

Here's the spec I think I'd like. Going down to the dealer tomorrow (test drive isn't arranged yet, and have to look at houses when I would do a test drive :().

Colours:
  • Silver
  • Dolphin Grey
  • Crystal Blue
  • Pine Green
Interior:
  • Any other than black!
  • cloth or leather
Model:
  • 1.4TDi SE (or a 1.6FSi for £1000 less!)
  • 2003 model (larger fuel tank, new floppy wiper)
Options:
  • Standard rear set (not the bench)
  • DIS
  • Not open sky
  • Climate
  • Rear speakers (preferably BOSE)
  • Single CD player (CD changer in addition fine)
  • Rear cup holder

Earlist delivery would be the end of Feb 2003 (with tax until end Feb 2004). More likely Early April when my insurance is up for renewal or End of May when my Punto turns 3, or somewhere inbetween - a 4 month window!

That's every thing. For SE models:

1.4 12k+
TDI 14k+
1.6 14k+

The 1.6 is priced at about the same as the 1.4TDI. Not much diff.

A new TDISE with met paint, leather, DIS, climate, cd changer, BOSE, leccy rear windows (rest are standard) is about £17k.

Go to audi.co.uk, and you can config your own A2.

Good luck with the house hunting. Just bought mine, and waiting to complete. So car on hold for now - no point in owning a car in London (and apparently, when parking in London you run a 1 in 3 risk of coming back to a damaged car!)
