Are threads disappearing?

This morning I tried to find a thread I posted just a couple of days ago on a potentially dodgy low coolant level sensor, but I've done a search for it and it seems to have disappeared? Has something happened? Anyone else noticed threads vanishing?

Thanks - I originally posted a newthread on the subject at the beginning of the week but it has seemingly disappeared, so I started another one this morning...

I think the problem is with the Search feature (which has been dodgy ever since the forum upgrade). I wonder whether there is a 'reindex' or 'rebuild indexes' option available from the admin control panel (I am only familiar with phpBB, not vBulletin).
