Hi Folks,

It's probably been asked before but does anyone have the part number for the Audi A1 flat bottom steering wheel with the mode button instead of the left and right arrows or even better still have one available? I've tried the usual places but can't seem to find the one that I need 🙄

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Iain

Your best bet would be to source a fbmfsw of your choice, then source the buttons separately. You can then combine the surplus parts and sell on.

Evening Iain,

Here is the cheapest available FBMFSW on eBay right now. It also has the correct Lin 1.2 buttons:

Of note, although the A1 has come with a FBMFSW over time I must warn you that it isn’t an 8X0 part number and actually comes from an A3/4/5/Q5. If you’re upgrading from an A1 round MFSW then the A1 airbag will not fit the FBMFSW.

Kind regards,

Tom

Not a bad price that considering it’s got the right buttons

Iain,

This is the cheapest FBMFSW available on eBay that comes with the correct single stage airbag:

Unfortunately as it comes from the A3 it doesn’t have the correct buttons.

Between my 2 posts you should have the information you require to obtain the main parts of this retrofit. Any further necessary parts can be purchased for pennies who your retrofitter (guessing other Tom) will be able to supply.

Kind regards,

Tom

Yes it'll be Tom that's doing the necessary, it's for the white car that already has a mfsw but unfortunately it's a horrible 4 spoke SE wheel 🤮 Thanks for all your help and advice I'm slightly more aware of what I'm looking for now
