Audi a2 rear shock bump stops

Hi all. Are the rear shock absorber dust protection and bump stop kits the same for all audi a2's? Thanks Steve

As far as I know yes they are, 99% sure. (apart from the 1.2 I can't comment on that)

I also know that they are the worse designed parts on a very well designed car.

They break so easily, most of the A2s I have owned have had them loose, even within weeks of them being replaced with new genuine parts I have found them to be broken and loose again.

Hi All.
Right totally confused now. Just got off telephone to TPS in Cardiff and asked about the rear bump stops for my car. Gave my reg number and the sales guy came back with 6Q0 512 131 B which are the SE bump stops. When i questioned him about the sport versions (8Z0 512 131 C) he said that the part number he gave me is correct for my car.

I've just had exactly the same with TPS in Lincoln , said car had standard suspension how can we positively identify what we have, I'm hoping to get front off this weekend but need to know what to order.
Thanks

From memory the sport is the shorter. In all honesty I don't think it makes much difference, the TDi non sport that I once had had both bump stops missing and had passed an mot the previous week. It drove fine and when I did replace the bump stops there was no discernable difference but then again I dont hurtle round bends and over bumpy roads.

HI all
Took a gamble and purchased a complete dust cover service/protection kit(bump stops and tubular protector) made by sachs that is listed for the a2 (sachs part number 900064) from Eurocarparts (634440020) for a very reasonable £21.84.
Bump stops measure at 130mm long approx and 60mm wide at top. Look very well made. On Eurocarparts site they are listed to fit an audi A3 99> but on sachs website they are listed for A2. Just waiting on my Sachs super touring rear shocks and new springs to tighten up rear suspension. My front shocks and springs look relatively new compared to my rusty rears.
Thanks all for advice
Steve

Renewing my rear suspension (factory parts) revealed the 6X0512131A part number which seems to be a VW / Skoda / Seat part hence providing more alternatives beyond what 7zap says.

From 7zap if you select the correct bump stop for your standard or sport suspension then click the double arrows on the right that will list alternative manufacturers / retailers and their part numbers.

The part number you quoted is 120mm long. A2 being 123mm or 140mm. Do not think 3mm will make much difference just "technically" not suitable.

Thanks for that. I attempted to order the Topran version of these from buycarparts.co.ukl but got sent stops made by Stark. These have the VW / Audi part number moulded in so are presumably OEM.

Happily they were charged at the Topran price - I'd have baulked at the Stark price.
