Audi A6 Electrical

I know it’s not the A2 but : I put the 18” Winter Wheels and Tyres back on the A6 Avant 2 Days ago. Found all 4 Tyres needed a lot more Pressure. Used the Tyre Inflator supplied with the Car. The 12v Sockets are only live with the Ignition On. Inflator stopped working before I got all 4 Tyres up to full Pressure. No power to any of the 12v Sockets. Plugged in to the A2 instead to complete. I have not been able to get the Sockets working again since. Fuse looks OK to me. I saw a suggestion that there is a Cut Out to stop the Battery being drained via the 12v Sockets. Checked with Audi. They say not.

Any advice please ?

Fuse 7 from front of car in the Row of 12 in Brown Fuse Holder Section in Drivers Side Rear Luggage Compartment. It’s the only one I can see listed in the Handbook as “ Sockets “.

2017 ( 67 ) A6 Avant Ultra 190 Quattro Black Edition.

I’ll have to get a New Fuse and try it to be sure.

better get yourself 12v probe or meter to see if voltage is on both sides of fuse

If your only evidence for the lack of power is the use of the tyre inflater, it might be the tyre inflater. I think they have a maximum run time due to heat. It might have just cooled down enough or reset in the time it took to get the A2 in position.

No. Tried Sockets again. Will not even charge my Phone. Will have Fuses to try today.

Also worth checking for foreign objects in the socket as these will cause a short & take out the fuse, illuminated socket doesn’t indicate a functioning socket
