Audi B5 A4 or C5 A6 cruise control stalk and loom

I have some long trips ahead of me and am looking into retrofitting cruise control.
Quite a few kits I see online say they are suitable for all sorts of VAG cars which they often add anyway regardless of whether it is true, but I do vaguely remember reading here that you can use the A4 or A6 stalk. The stalks are probably identical, but does anyone know if the wiring loom crosses over as well? I know some people who regularly break them.

I have ordered 8L0953513B01C as it is the cheapest as genuine one - it’s the older type.

Hm yes the wiring seems to be more difficult to find. Cum-cartech (what a name) has it available, though.
Aside from this someone has an Audi TT quattro parts car with the right stalk. Could that work as well? Thinking about it a little more the ECU location could be quite different.

Well I am in Finland so that might still be quite pricey.

In short is the conclusion that the stalk is the same, but the wiring loom likely not? Because then I should just order it from cum-cartec.

I fitted this in 2 A2 and it works flawlessly

Little update on the 8L0953513B01C stalk - my local VW dealership just informed me that there was an error in availability and it is no longer available ...
Got my refund but not my stalk ...

Yes - I saw that - I have the wiring, but tried to get the genuine stalk as cheap as possible (I don't trust the Chinese replacement for this part) - I will try my luck with 8L0953513H01C.

So I got the replacement part Febi brand.
It looks quite well (colour and texture is different) - but it moves properly.
I will try my luck with it
