Audi Connectors - How to Release

It's amazing how many ruined connectors I come across, from people not knowing the correct way to release them.

The photos below show the process in 2 easy stages and they show a headlamp connector, although the same process applies to many of the connectors on your A2:

After this, just pull the connector out from its mating counterpart and that's all there is to it!

That is not how you remove them you push the whole connector in then use your thumb to move the tab and pull that's the way the are designed to come off go and try it
If the connector is brittle you will just break the tab

If you break the tab, you'll need a screw driver and a little fiddling to release the tab from the other end. Not the best connectors I've ever come across, the Saab ones are in a different league.
