Audi driver international show 2015 main thread

Fantastic day, despite the slightly offish weather. Once again, a fabulously arranged social from our Mike & Yvonne - thanks guys!
Good to see old friends and meet our new (or first time at a social) members.

Oh yes, we did spot a few Audi A2's as well, wonder whose those belong to?

Would like to say thank you for the warm welcome I received at my first social event. I was the late arrival with the black TDi. Was given a cup of tea and invited to display my car!

I learnt a lot about other's cars and a few things about my own!

I've had my A2 about 2 years and the forum has help me solve endless problems, great and small.

I am an automotive engineer and have performed some development on my A2 suspension, one of the weaker areas of the car in it's original spec. I plan to post more details of the work done in the coming days.

Thanks again for a great club and great day out.

Regards

Rick - Spaceman

Great social and Audi event as usual. Felt like we didn't get to meet everyone on the day just admired their cars. Great to see a few more Colour Storms at this event. The hat from A2carsltd did come in useful.
Looks like a new list of upgrades will need to be started having seen a few ideas

First time ADI for me and find the warm welcome from the A2 owners great. Made me feel being part of the lovely A2 community in no time.
The ADI is a bit different than AITP. With the race track it offers the opportunity to watch some of the cars "in action" or possibly do a ride yourself (i definitely enjoyed the passenger ride).
Thanks to all who put so much effort, helping to make the day comfortable and nice for everyone!

Thanks for taking time to post the positive feedback, we pride ourselves as being friendly and helpful, it is great to see that you experienced that!

We hope to see you at some more socials (the meal next month perhaps?)

I suspect a road trip from Germany for a curry is pushing the limits---but i really look forward to seeing Andre for AITP next year. cheers mike

Yes, I agree, but no harm in asking ;)

I still think that we will have to return the favour next year with a road trip to Germany!!

Ahh of course, how could I forget! ;)

Well, after a few emails, I've managed to get my hands on some photos. The 5-birth camper van does a few laps of the Castle Combe circuit!

Whilst this was undoubtedly a lot of fun, I hasten to add that these were parade laps. No overtaking or silly speeds, especially not in vehicles that handle like an elephant on a unicycle. :)

Tom, your parents would be horrified!....hmmm what was your Dad's number again? ...lol

I saw you drive past us but didn't know you were headed onto the track, if I'd known I'd have taken a few snaps too!

Cheers

Haha! They're well aware of this incident and definitely appreciate the humour. I think they're almost proud that their camper has driven Castle Combe! :)

Tom, On zooming in to the pics noticed you were behind the wheel.lol hope you had those corners covered in that camper. Lol:D

Yep, I had 'em covered. Compared to driving this thing around the rough, narrow lanes of the Lake District, Castle Combe was easy for me and kind on the camper.

It was great to meet you Andre and share our A2 stories, and glad I had another Guinness partner, see you next year!
Cheers Jeff
