Audi germany factory tour

If I can do the Stelvio pass, then I will give the ring a miss this time, which seems to be a huge detour!

Have just done another Germany Run in the 1.2 TDI

Yes the EURO to POUND is a big issue right now but things may improve in next few weeks if Germany copies the rest of the spend out of recession promoters like UK and USA.

FERRY: I thoroughly recommend Hull to Rotterdam or for northern folk Newcastle to Rotterdam - over night service is very good value and you feel rested for the big drive.

Another good option is Harwich to Hamburg - again over night with fantastic view of the Elbe on the morning of arrival. Return via Calais or Zebrugge if you want to return via another route.

On my last trip we did Krefeld, Wuppertal (upside down trains!) Schwelm (probably the best beer in Germany!), and went south to Trier (oldest Town in Germany with stack of Roman ruins and fantastic Wine (Mosel region) and big Castles.........

German factory tour.

Hy guys,

Just read this thread. It would be nice to meet with the german A2 club and maybe get some others from Belgium, France and Luxembourg for an
INTERNATIONAL meeting.
If I can get a go ahead, I will pass this along to the french audi guys. Quite a few are already reading the A2OC forum. Same with some belgian guys.

Anyway, pending the date, you can count us in (wife and meself).

Cheers,
AMG

Hi Guys,

if you going for a trip in the alps I can help you for a nice Route, until now nearly made every pass there. Would also be nice to meet A2 people from outer Germany :p

There has been some discussion about attending a German club meet following Phoenix from A2freunde making the trip from Germany to attend Audi's in the Park with his 1.2 TDi earlier this year.

A visit to the Audi factories is a definite on my 'bucket list' but as we have another child on the way, its not something I could sign up to for the foreseeable future. If there is sufficient interest in booting this back up again, I'd PM Sumo and Riverlad to register your interest and share ideas.

It does sound like a good idea, I'd like to do it if we would be meeting up with Phoenix & the others. I would guess that the practicalities of the journey means that only a handful of people would be able to do it.

I'll be hosting Icetrack 5 in February next year up here, and at the moment it looks like next year's major social may well be in the region of Ingolstadt, but it's not yet fixed.
