Hey Guys just wondered if any one had any photos of any A2 running RS4 18s & possibly what your experiences of them were, rubbing etc?
As im looking for 17's (See Wanted Ad) but have seen many Audi 18's RS4/TT Style Rep's Alloys in 5x100

Just wondered if i should go this big?

Thanks in advance

You would have to know the ET for the wheels then consider the tyres that could be fitted by checking in the definitive wheel guide. Think 18 are pushing it especially if you do not have standard suspension. I run 17 RS4 replicas with no issues now I'm back on standard suspension from the sport suspension.

Here is my car on the replica 17s, they look almost the same as the Audi sports but are far more durable and they are dual PCD..

This style of wheel is renowned for buckling in 17” size. Putting on 18” in this style with even lower profile tyres is asking for trouble in my eyes not to mention further deterioration in ride quality.

don’t do it especially if you have loose fillings. ?

No the standard Audi sport 17 is the one that buckles these aftermarket one are much stronger. Would not go to 18 though.

Thanks Guys these pictures look great
ANDYT is that standard sport suspension with the 18's?
audifan can i ask if you hadn't changed out your suspension to standard would the sport suspension have sat lower?

Any body else got photos?

I think it’s standard se suspension

I went to 15 for the consumption and roadholding.
You'll need to be spot on with the ET and width calcs (7.5 at 35 is pushing it) for this to work and as stated, dropping it won't be on the menu unless it's a 20mm job.

18s are rare because of poor road conditions for most.

Personally, I also find my 195/50R15s are about as harsh as you need to go to get decent roadholding, but each to their own. I would strongly suggest trying to get a ride in a similar machine before jumping in if you're keeping it long term. I do have a significant drop, B8s and ARBs front and rear...

Well the roads around here are horrendous and the 17s on standard suspension do give me a smooth enough ride. Each to their own. If you want big wheels then yes there has to be a compromise. Not everybody wants 15" nor do they want 18", end of the day it is their money and requirements that need to be met. You have to remember that car manufactures spend a lot of money developing suspension and if they supply the car with 15, 16 or 17 inch wheels that is because that has worked out as the best sizes for the vehicle.
