After buying my new A2 the salesman then tried to convince me that purchasing Audi's Supaguard was a valuable investment! This covers the bodywork in a Teflon type coating and the interior in a water repelant coating. And how much would this cost me? £300! How much have other memebers been offered this service for?

So I looked on Ebay to see if I could buy something similar. To my pleasure I found Autogylm Lifeshine and bought this for £30 instead. Quite a saving I thought. What have other members applied to their car body to keep it in good condition?

Supaguard has been slated on the SEAT forum. Can leave the paintwork dull and you have to top up the protection with special wash.

Get a decent polish (probably a show one if you want to push the boat out) with good wax and set aside half a day and you will enjoy doing it and have a lovely car to boot.

I have used "Liquid Glass" Products with much success, it´s easy to apply and has to be done only twice a year...

Bye, Frido.

i use the same a frido called Maguiars Liquid Glass brilliant polish really easy to apply and remove and removes all minor blemishes and scratches.

Seems to be better than the Autoglym polish i used to use.

Runboy, did you see her last night? Her car is up for grabs in a comp. Just imagine!!
Whatever was Tiff Needell doing testing white van mans tools by sliding around bends, The Transit was 5 seconds faster on the circuit than the Merc Sprinter, so b****y what? Don't encourage them they're bad enough as it is.
You could have real fun polishing one of them!

POLISHING?

Nah, in the back!

And her car up for grabs...oooooh! I'd have the drivers seat taken out and put in the bedroom!

Will - if it helps, my wife's Toyota Corolla has had the interior/exterior Supaguard treatment (worth £300), and I can't see that it makes the slightest bit of difference besides having obvious bits of polish wedged between the exterior panels!

There's just no point to it - and nothing you couldn't do yourself with a good make of polish.

hi

my father's old honda civic had supaguard put on it both in and out and when he came to sell it some 7 years later, it still looked like it was in showroom condition - immaculate. That's why i decided to go for it myself....but i agree it doesn't seem to gleam like one would hope but at least the paint won't fade over the years :)
